Three West Coast Hockey teams had representatives in the top three players for this seasons awards with Marc Andre Fleury of the Vegas Golden Knights the only winner.

West Coast hockey is about to get a lot more interesting in the upcoming 2021-22 season. Why? Because of the entry of the new team, the Seattle Kraken, into it.  The Kraken becomes the 32nd NHL team. And today, June 24th, 2021 they named their coach, a surprise to some. Dave Hakstol coached the Philadelphia Flyers between 2015 and 2018 and went 134-101-42 over the three seasons.
